Artist Statement
I believe that all art is essentially abstract. For me, the enduring value of a work of art comes from its particular combination of forms and color rather than its subject or sentiment. My studio practice is concerned with the development of a unique sensibility of color, form, and material, which is expressed simply and directly. Many of my works are created as variations on a simple theme. The repetition of a basic design provides a comforting sense of familiarity, yet offers an inexhaustible range of possibilities.
